Evening fellas,

I have picked up a jvm410js , how hot do these run?, the heat coming through the top vent is pretty fucking hot. more than any other amp i have, nothing glowing madly inside and is quiet running all seems good but the heat is a lot.

Any suggestions..

Mad amp by the way, got mods on it a AFD mod a RR mod (i'm guessing Randy Rhodes mod?) on a 3 way toggle , Third position is straight jvm. plus a negative feed back pot on the back. Killer amp.

Depending on the amp some of them get pretty warm, especially if you are driving the power stage with any amount of power. Just for grins do you have any way of testing/measuring the temperature? A number would be cool to make a comparison with.

Iv'e got a Infrared temp gun that i check my Tandoori oven with i'll give it a go next play and let you know., No scorching to the tubes or any marks on the casing, i think i'm being over cautious but just wondered if the jvm was prone to running hot.
