Oh, well if you're going to pick one concert you've got a good one.
Re food: I'm just going to come right out and say this - the standard of steaks in America is unbelievably good compared to the UK.

This really matters to me. So if you see a walk-in steakhouse then beware, it's likely to be an overpriced tourist trap of bad meat and might not be the standard you expect at home.
There's plenty of good food about but it is less good value than the States, it can be pricey if you're choosy. I went for a three-course meal with a friend last weekend and the bill was a typical £90 ($135-ish) for the two of us and we weren't drinking. It was nice but not earth-shakingly good. Your hotel desk or maybe the Marshall lads should find decent Italian, Chinese, Seafood, Indian restaurants. Most English eating out is dominated by foreign food, not traditional local stuff. Good Fish n' Chips is fantastic for us, though not for everyone.
P.S. I really enjoyed The Churchill War Rooms - takes about an hour and you can pick up a good tape recorded walkthrough that enhances it. Round the corner from the Houses of Parliament which is a beautiful building but not set up for tourists at all times of the year - kind of like visiting The White House or the Pentagon. It's a working place for politics.
