I'm not usally one to knock another guitar player after all what do I care, music is from the soul and there is no sould to this. It seems to be a bit of a scam anywho, if you look he plays the same arpeggio over and over while moving up and down the neck a half step or a full step, doesn't impress me. There are some shredders that make me put my tail between my legs but this guy is not one of them.

Problem with shredding is it limits you to one type of music and limits you in the application song writting, that is not good. I think every player should simply learn a couple of sweeps in the pentonic scale and if you mix them in every so often your set.

If a guy or girl (The Great Kat) wants to sit around playing Flight of the Bumblebee all day then good for them, lol. Not my thing.

Heh! One has to appreciate the comic aspect of that performance. I sure hope della vega himself realizes that it looks and sounds rather ridiculous playing at that speed.
It's like painting or acting really really fast..
Does it make the performance better or more impressive? No, just more comical.

It honestly sounds notheing better than a circus theme. I "wish" I could play that fast, alot of players play amzingly fast like that, and can interpet into their music. And t the same time it sounds very musical at the same time. I remember watching on youtube something about the fastest players on the world. And there were boring players, but there were some amazing players who woul go slow, fast. But used the speed to spice parts up, and when appropreate. Not just shred the whole way through.

for me, one of the most amazing players on the planet is Guthrie Govan.
That cat can go from blinding speed to Gilmouresque phrasing without skipping a beat, and it works for him. I put this guys stuff up here for the novelty of it.
one thing that amazes me is how he can think this fast.
I think if I tried my skull would explode!
