Interesting with all the endless options available that his signal chain just goes........guitar > analog pedals with batteries straight in > amp > efficient speakers.......use volume knob---step off distortion pedal and using the efficient speakers to clean it up. Basically a very simple sort of retro old school set up. Really the same approach late 60 and early 70's players ala Hendrix, Page, Iommi, Blackmore.

I bet those 4-300 watt speakers per cab could push some serious air.

Zak's music is not exactly my cup of tea, but I love his guitar playing.

It's strange that those asian made 2203's have not been marketed yet. If you priced those under $1K they would be an instant hit.

Something tells me there are other issues at play.

Could be a lot of import paperwork and approvals at play too. I don't think the final amp is done, sounds like some cosmetic changes. I don't like 800s so not following it to close.

Yeah, fair enough. Having a '83 2203 and a '13 2203X I'm pretty well covered on the 800 department.

It's just that from what I hear, an asian made 800 would steal some of the DSL100 crowd. Even if it's only 10% of the DSL market, that would be a sizable market share for a new amp.

Speaking of which, Phil Wells told me and Sigi that if the 1974x was made in their Asia shop, it would cost about £800.
That would be nice.
