Worlds best drag race

Postby surfnorthwest » 14 Sep 2011, 14:28

I am a car freak when it comes to this stuff. They took 11 of the fastest cars sold today and let them run in a all out drag race. Even the last place finisher in the BMW 1 series had a very impressive time. As a owner of a 2007 AMG Mercedes I am very happy the new SLS model finished 4th. That new Boss 302 Mustang was also very impressive giving its price point to the other cars out there.

Fun stuff.

Cool video! I'm very into cars and racing too... presenting an new side of myself here perhaps.... but I'm very into Formula 1, Cart and Nascar.... I just LOVE racing! You should try online racing Surf, a lot of fun! Get a good steering wheel with pedals for your computer and sign up to join iRacing if you want some serious online racing. Great stuff!

I there also to a point. What I enjoy doing is taking a lead sled and making a sleeper out of it. My last sleeper was a 95 Camaro with a 3.4 60 degree engine and since its not a big and popular engine not allot of aftermarket stuff. When I ran the first time down the 1/4 mile it ran a respectable 18.3 seconds.... lol After doing loads of work and no HP adders like N2O or supers were mounted only work done was to the actual engine like headers, catback, shave the heads, larger cam, increased fuel jets, Filpk (K&N) installed and finally reprogram the OBDC PC with these mods I ran a respectable 14.1 seconds at E Town. I installed a Holley wet N2O system although never went back to the track and did any runs since I moved from CT to Ms. I did nothing to the outside of the car so it looked like a normal Camaro. When I got on it the car smacked many 5.ooooooooo's

My newest project is my Mustang with the 3.8, although I am only using official Ford power adders so I dont void the warranty. I am really excited about the new Mustang also yet it requires super only and I really hate the rear of that car. I would love to swap out the 3.8 for the 3.5 Eco thats rated at 305 HP. Not bad for a 6cyl, my 73 Mach1 with the 351 didn't have that much power from the factory.
