NFL is now the TSA

Postby surfnorthwest » 15 Sep 2011, 21:06

Screw it, I like to get to a couple of live game evey year but it just isn't worth it anymore. $125 tickets, $12 beers, drunk loud mouths, $25 parking, 20 minute waits to piss, $6 hot dogs, and now I get to be patted down.

Shove it. I will watch it on TV.
Under the new "enhanced" pat-down procedures, the NFL's 32 clubs will search ticket-holding fans from the ankles to the knees as well as the waist up. Previously, security guards only patted down fans from the waist up while looking for booze, weapons or other banned items.

The stricter physical screening policy impacts the 16.6 million fans expected to attend live regular season NFL games this season.

Fuck that shit.

My local mall is lobbying the city council to allow them to charge for parking!

No wonder people resort to buying shit off the internet

I hear you surf. I got a couple free tickets to the Steelers pre-season game a few weeks back and we were up in peanut heaven, yet they were $75 seats. Luckily we got to move down because of it being pre-season. Otherwise, we'd have been stuck up in the clouds. I was amazed to see families with several kids sitting in these $200+ seats thinking dear Lord! My parents couldn't afford to send me to Catholic high school because tuition had been raised from $180 to $650 a year! So I went to public school because I didn't want them to struggle and more than they already were with 6 kids. Many of these families today spend that weekly and that's not counting the hot dogs, pizza, drinks etc. parking is $45! etc. saving for their college educations, etc. Yet they're saying America is near destitute. Where on earth are these folks getting this kind of dough to fill stadiums of 50,000 weekly?!
