OK maybe a bit of background story is needed here:
We had entertained her parents for Sunday lunch and I had one or five scotches too many with her dad.
She's pregnant therefore sober.
I plugged in for a quick half hour play while she put her feet up.
Apparently I was shithouse - out of time, bending out of tune.
I've played plenty drunk in the past and still rocked (I have recordings as proof).

Been there, done that before! A lot of guys i know who get shit faced crank up their amps twice as loud and play way too long grindy solos without giving the song a breath. It happens. Dont forget, alcohol is an anethesthetic so basically, you're partly asleep when shit faced.
