Eine kleine Bluesmusik

Postby Alpeggio » 23 Sep 2017, 13:59

Hi guys, here's a fun jam with the jvm with resonance button off, for a brighter tone, and room for the bass track.

This is essentially blues, but expanded.
Hope you find it fun.

Thanks Pete,

I was getting away from pentatonic throughout, because you can end up playing the same thing over and over.

So here I'm putting in some natural 7 note scale runs.

Haha, good one Sigi that's funny.

Yeah I'm feeling good right now, and the jvm and Schecter C1 35th just make it so easy for me.

Another excellent clip. Getting away from the pentatonic scale is a hard thing for me. When I try to do that naturally when improvising it's like bumping into a wall.

Thanks T,
Two things are needed, a good knowledge of how the scales (modes) fit together.
And also get them to talk, to actually say something, instead of just running up and down scales like you would when practicing.

90% of technical players are completely boring to listen too, because they are playing like mathematicians.

Yep. That's the key in trying not to come across too smart for the listener. I guess that's why I always admired most the players that can get away with much less thinking but lean towards emotion. But, the older I get I need to get more mathematics in. LOL!
