JTM1H Still Available ...

Postby crossroadsnyc » 23 Mar 2012, 13:51

For anyone interested:

I received the JTM1H yesterday ... it was returned today.

If you're interested in the head, I'd maybe call over there (Pro Guitar Shop in Portland) and reserve it (the guy who helped me was named Alex ... he's familiar w/the amp/return/etc.) ... will arrive at PGS next Friday.

Did you fall out of love with it that quickly?

Did you get to try the amp with the Vintage Modern? Wow, I can't imagine anyone not liking that. Oh well, this is why tone os subjective.

Any plans for one of the other models or is the concept not for you.

No, I didn't use it as a preamp like you had demonstrated/explained ... and no, I will not be purchasing any of the other models.

I agree that tone is very subjective, which is why I'm reluctant to write any sort of review ... there's a lot of excitement over these amps, and given that my experience seems to be outside of the mainstream, I don't think it's fair to comment.

I really only started this thread out of fairness. I really wanted one of these heads, but was not able to find one until you had pointed out the availability at PGS ... I can't help but think it's only fair to pass the information back to from where it came, and give everyone the same shot at getting it as I did.
