DSL1H head mods

Postby Rowbi » 19 Jul 2015, 01:38

Hi,

I've done some mods to my DSL1H to convert the clean channel to a crunch channel (like from a dsl50/100), and I've reduced the gain from the OD channel. The result is that the volume level of the clean channel is now louder overall than it used to be. So full vol on the clean channel is louder than full vol on OD channel.

On the dsl50/100 schem R79 and R80 are 470k mixer resistors - I think on the dsl1 R64/65 are the same resistors and I'm thinking of tweaking them to rebalance the max volumes. Does anyone think this will cause any issues or is this the right way to do it?

Thanks

Rowbi

I do not think it would hurt anything, just have to try it to see what it does. I don't know how much louder the amp would go since it has 2 -ECC82

Marshall has locked down the schematics of their most recent amps, the new ones are not floating around like the old ones are. Your best bet is an authorized Marshall Service Center.
