it depends o nthe head & if you have a D.I. or loadbox,etc.etc.
I run my JMP-1 rack unit direct all the time.
sometimes I use the unit's cab emu outs, sometimes I'll use the main outs & cab emu software in DAW,& sometimes I'll use both @ the same time.
keeping it loud- JMP-1 rack,LPs,strats,& way too much other gear.
my sounds,songs,& snippets-

I have the JTM1 and JMP1 Heads and was curious to know if you can run the output directly into a sound card.

I've read you need loadboxes to tame down the signal as it can damage equipment. It's not an area I know much about and would love some advice and help.

The JTM and JMP manuals state that you must always have a cab connected if the amp is on, however, that this is not necessary if the attenuator switch is on (when down to 0.1W). Is there any correlation? Can an amp head be connected without the need of a loadbox when in 0.1W mode?

Thanks

if the manual says you can @ 0.1w then I guess you can. according to the manuals when you engage that low power switch they have an internal dummy load. I guess the question after that would be which spkr Out would sound better (8 or 16 Ohm) running direct to an audio interface.
