I just received an e-mail flyer from Guitar Center.
The subject is "Check Out the Hottest New Gear from NAMM".
So, I tried to see how much they were asking for the Jtm1.
Strange thing: GC did NOT list any products from Marshall from NAMM. :think
Kind of makes me wonder what's going on.
Probably just a timing thing... NAMM is BIG!

My Bad, trying to tweak this forum from a smart phone don't work so well. I think I have it sorted now. NAMM is cool as ever, lots of great new gear coming. The 1 watt amps are really cool and as you already have heard they do sound great. Even better in person. I will have a video I will upload tonight.

This celebration for Marshall needs to be looked at as a rock concert, playing some of the old stuff first, as the show goes on there will be MORE classics sprinkled in it leading up to the encore. So while these new 1 watt amps are the answer to getting some great Marshall tones at lower volumes, it also fills a range not offered by Marshall before. Personally up close I dig the JMP.

Will get a video posted up tonight and all the pics will be up by Monday. Fun stuff.

Hey surf on a relative scale how loud would you say the 1-watters are?
Maybe compared to known quantities, i.e. a Class 5, a 2061x, a 50-watter, lawnmower, a loud hi-fi, traffic on a busy road or whatever (or an actual empirical measurement if you've got a dB meter)

You lose 3dB every time you cut the power in half. So I'm guess between 18 and 21 dB less than 100W head. Am I right in this?

Its only going to be a little softer than the Class 5, which can get pretty loud. I think these 1W would definitely surpass bedroom level.

Logic dictates that a 1w amp into a speaker with sensitivity of 100dB/1w/1m is going to put out 100dB at 1m from the cab.
That's still pretty loud - much louder than most people run their stereos even at a party.
Marshall have done well to include a 0.1w switch which theoretically should take it down to conversation level.
But everyone who has heard them says "wow, that's loud for 1w" so maybe they surpass 100dB?

Any more news about the 100 watt Marshalls that they are bringing out for the 50th anniversary? I have seen a quick gut shot of a prototype, don´t know if it was for real or not. Look like it had the YJMs EPA but I am not a tech so I can´t say much more. I was told that they would announce this "Golden Jubilee" as we call it here at the Frankfurt Messe. Anymore rumors?

From a "big" retailer guy I know. He had this picture on his cell phone and he said he took it at the Marshall headquarters. He had lots of pictures from his Marshall visit but this could have been any prototype, AFD Satriani... it doesn´t really confirm a “Golden Jubilee” amp. It could be the Satriani and that this amp is going to be release at Frankfruit.

It is no secret that Satriani has been involved with a signature modified JVM. Marshall has never confirmed that a 100 watt Golden Jube is coming, doesn't mean there isn't it just means anything you see or hear about it is rumour.

There will be some more amps and other things still introduced this year as very limited items. My thought is let Marshall do it their way in their own time. I can assure you that Marshall fans are not going to be disappointed.

As you already know these little one watt Marshalls are very special and to me a very well done offering for the 50th. I may end up buying all five just to have them.

I have my own ideas about what is coming, but will keep it to myself. I think Messee will introduce more but not all just as NAMM did.
