I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Im hoping they go old school circuits with new functions like foot switchable solo/midboost, power attenuator, switchable hot-rod, etc.

It's going to get a little pricey.

I watched that video through, he didn't say anything about the price.

I think they're neat little amps...like the sound and looks of the JMP and like the sound of the JCM, might have to get one, not sure whether to get a head or a combo. $500-$600 sounds a little steep for a 1watt amp though. I like how they are trying to present an amp from all the era's.

I want the JMP, JCM, and JTM.

The heads are going to be $700 - $750 I think. Anderton's has a price up of 478 pounds, which is about $742

I would venture the combos would be $50 - $100 more than the heads.

Yep looks like a confirmed UK price. They don't have them but you can pre-order at that price. They probably won't be more in the US like the bigger stuff is, maybe even a little less if their other small amps are anything to go by. But I'll wait this one out I think. My money says there's no way they're still going to be $700 when the JCM comes out in June.

Uploading 3 HD Videos taken this moring with Chris. Will post the links later tonight, time for steak dinner.

Guys these amps are great, one isn't better then the other just different. The third video clears up a lot of rumours about Marshalls 50th.

Having a great time and have some awesome pics.

Found them!

Looks like speculation on the price has been fairly correct...to quote Chris George: "Don't quote me, but I think it's about $700".

Kind of disappointing really. They look like great amps, but their justification for the loopy price is:

1. "We're only making them this year"

and

2. "They're 50th anniversary".

I don't see what value either of these things adds to the amp.

Sure they're made in the UK, but so is the $350 Class 5.

Sweet sweet tone though!

700 for a 1 watter is a little a nuts. But am I gonna pay it? Yes! Multiple time probably. I really want the first 3. At the very least the jmp. I think it's so freaking usable. I would get the Jtm in a combo, but i think the rattle problems with the vm and class 5 that I had has kind of scared me. Wonder if t here is an external speaker jack.

The Marshall sight says there is an 8 and 16 ohm speaker outputs.
I think I will get the combo. If it rattles, I will use an external cab. :Thumbs

If someone would have told me a year ago that I could get a full cranked Marshall tone at less then 100dB without any attenuation I would have said that amp is going to be north of $1500.

A 1 watt amps is for everyone but based upon the excitment of folks stopping at the Marshall booth I don't see anything other then excitment for it.

Music gear has always only been worth what someone is willing to pay for it. These amps are great for the studio and home player, not really a gigging amp or meant to be. I want the JMP and either the DSL or JVM.

More amps to come if these are not your thing.

On the andertons site they posted this about the JCM1
"A boost switch also introduces a slightly different voicing that is based on another iconic amp from that decade; the Silver Jubilee."

Seriously! You can't own just one!

I want a JMP20, the same as the 1, except 20 watts and include a foot switchable mid/solo boost. That is the market Marshall is missing, on the higher end. Thats what drives people to boutique builders like Dr. Z, 65 Amps, etc.
