Well, I got to try the JTM1 both combo and with a 2x12 speaker... The combo was really not good sounding at all... but that was not expected with such a small speaker in such a small box either... and it did not like G12H-30/Alnico Blue combo IMHO. Speaker aside I wasn't that impressed of that amp even though maybe greenies would have made it more justice...

Curious about the JMP though and I believe the local dealer have one of those coming as well...

Thanks for posting this JK I am interested in the JMP as well and was curious as to what It would sound like through a 1/12 Cab with a Gold in it.
I would rather have the combo but I am not sure about that small box and speaker if it will really do that amp any justice.

Well since I last posted this response I got a chance to demo the combo and I thought it sounded great. That 10 inch speaker sounded really good to me.
Personally I think the head on those big cabinets looks out of place. I wonder If a 1/12 or 2/12 smaller cab is in the works? If not I would get the combo
for sure now. The cleans in the JTM1 were very impressive. It also had a nice grind too it. I am waiting on that JMP1 but that JTM1 has me interested.

My JCM1 is bought and paid for, I also am trying to decide 1x12/2x12? Greenbacks? Probably going to get a small avatar cab for it. :think

Suprised you did not like it, you're the first person that I have heard that didn't like it who actually heard it. When I heard all three they were defintly all different sounding. To me they all had their own unique tone and like any good tube amp they all cleaned up well. I just find the 1 watt thing to be something that many would appreciate in the home.

They have limited appeal I suppose but for amp freaks and Marsahll fans they are simply all a must have for me. May never see another 1 watt amp like these again. While Marshall to this day offers more amps then ever, I think the market is going to drive them to offer less very soon as there are so many amp builders today.

I think while the MG series still is a big seller for them the 50 and 100 watt amps are their bread and butter.

I dont fully understand the draw to the Anniversary amps. I can see how aesthetically they resemble the original amps which is cool, but at 1 watt, they dont seem to be very practical. Plus, for $800 I can look at some used Marshalls.

Surf, as you know I hold no interest for these 1 watters. I am waiting to see what else they come out with. The amp they release next will be what I am after.
