6101 No treble output on the clean channel 6100

This is what scares me about the 6100 amps. If something goes wrong they can be quite hard to repair. There is just so much stuff in them. The 2205/2210 and the DSL has a more simpler curcuit. And they sound just as good. In some clips i think the 6100 sounds a bit thin compared. Glad you got yours fixed

If you could hear mine in person there is nothing thin about it. If a 6100 sounds thin it's because the operator wants it that way.

Does it sound anything like the SL-X? I mean they came in the same period when Marshall stopped using diodes and started using just valve distortion.

Man, it's been soooo long since I used an SLX I cant say with all certainty but I think it would be very close. A 6100 is very versatile. Remember also I am only talking from the point of using only the head for gain, if you were to use a few boosters or boxes in front you just opened up a whole new world of tone........

Yeah i like the SL-X. It's got quite an open tone. Still it can sound a bit dull at times.
