I installed a 3H 250mA on mine. Sounds more defined with tighter bottom end at high volumes.

Not all amps need a choke anymore, it sure is cheaper to use a resistor.
Choke = $20+
Resistor = $1

I like the 6100 how it is stock.

Some say the filter caps block low freq's and are more transparent to highs and inductors block highs and pass the lows. Some also say that adding a choke to your power supply will increase the amp's dynamic range and reduce sag. :dunno
