One of the most popular upgrades to the old DSL's is to replaces the trannies so they aren't anything special either. Regarding the issue with that guy's new amp, he got an immediate replacement so we will never know what the problem was unfortunately. (probably just a bad power tube) But, getting the replacement is one of the benefits of buying new.

What does the sticker on the power tube means? I've seen a lot of them and they are all different. Mine says 43ma. Is it the bias for that particular power tube? I have a DSL40C. Thanks
