dsl100h/40c mods?

is anybody adding a choke or clipping the bright cap on the red channel on these amps? i have played a couple of the old UK-built JCM2000s that had these mods performed, and they were very good. i am considering a project amp, and this one seems like a good candidate. i prefer the plate reverb, and the chassis-mount power tubes are an obvious upgrade. thoughts?
