Bias setting on SL5?

Postby Steven Latch » 02 Mar 2013, 02:14

Hello,

I have read confusing information regarding the SL5 regarding the bias. Some articles refer to it as having a cathode bias, meaning one does not need to adjust it manually when changing the power tube. Has this been confirmed? I read the SL5 manual and found nothing about this.

Thanks!

It is cathode bias. It comes with a single EL34 but it has been confirmed you can use any other tube in it such as a 6550. Plug and Play.
