Hi congrats.
what I dont like on sl5 - is the panel look - it is not nice
the class5 is a beauty vs.
...and the fact of far east build a
the concept and sounds are sure very attractive.

just my thoughts maybe I will put SL5 on the shoplist
for later days.

I actually love the look of this amp...

The silver is sleek.

I think I'm going to get it it's own M5 and call it a day.

I will be curious to start reading the tube-swapping threads!

I have a EL34 to EL84 adapters that I would try with one of those lower power early breakup EL844.

I've noticed the same popping noise when switching channels with my amp as well. It only happens while playing and it happens with both the front panel switch and the foot switch. I've seen a few other similar posts on this so it is either normal for this amp or a common problem. Would be interesting to hear from other owners.

The popping noise hasn't been a huge concern for me, I don't find it particularly loud. However, I contacted the Marshall Canada service center in Montreal just to see what they would say and they responded with the following email:

"It is normal to hear a pop sound when switching channels.
And a lot of amplifiers make a louder pop sound than this model."

So I guess it's normal.
