Everything's the same in both Marshall cabs except for the tolex:
- Same speakers (Celestion Vintage 30 UK made)
- Same dimensions
- Same weight
- I think it's the same wood

Why they sound so different?

Maybe the tone differences comes from the tolex color! :tounge

Btw, here's some cool demos of the 2525H:

I don't know but I can say that I have T75 of the year 1998 sound different to. Two 1936 cabinets. Both JCM900 lead. I Buy one in 99 and the other in 2000. I Intall the 4 speaker from 1936 cabinets in a unloaded 1960A. Then I intall in one 1936 2 speakers T75 from jcm800 lead and the other 1936 i intall 2 Marshalls V30 from 1960V cabinet. All the speakers T75 that I have sound different. You can recognize is t75 but sound different:think

They're supposed to both be V30s, but it did cross my mind they got it wrong, and the 1936v was really a 1936.

They got it wrong... No way I believe that it was the 1936V... A slight difference is expected (one more broken in, not same batch, silver jub. badge etc.) but that was two very different speakers...

They didn't shoot the insides of the 1936.
That Abe Lincoln dude is strange too.

They did not show how each cabinet was recorded. Microphone placement matters.

It also would have been nice to see the actual Celestion "T" numbers on each speaker of each cabinet. There are different versions and this may be another version.
