Astoria Custom, Happy Camper

Postby Gridlock » 24 Aug 2017, 19:51

Just finish jamming with the makes of a new band (2nd guitar, bass/singer, and drums).

I just used my Astoria, my Les Paul Standard, and a Fender '63 RI Reverb Unit in the loop.

Happy with my tone and volume with every song we played.

I found that the amp sounds even better when in the band mix.

Finally, a happy camper.

Good to hear. The custom is just about as close to a perfect amp as there is. Mine never fails to impress.

Give it a little time to break in electrically and mechanically ( speaker) and that is going to sound killer.

After two trips to two different Marshall certified repair centers, the amp is sounding really good.

It took three sets of power tubes and I guess that the speaker finally breaking in.

Getting great tones using my Gibson LP Custom. Warm, smooth, and kind of glassy tones.

Fingers crossed that there are no more issues with the amp and it continues to sound even better as it breaks in.

Glad I held out and kept the amp.
