Musicians Roadhouse

Hi guys. New here and my first post. I bought a used but pristine Marshall Astoria Dual a few months ago. Definitely the best amp I've had and I've had quite a few over the years. My question is would it be safe to use a pair of NOS Brimar 6V6GT tubes. I know these are used in lower powered amps, 15/22 watts. Has anyone tried using them in their Astoria amp? Thanks.

Yes it is safe but don't think they are a good choice for the Astoria. Would not endorse it.

Better to use the higher watt 6L6.

The other choice would be a set of NOS 5881's. You can usually find then very reasonably priced.
