I had one of these a long time ago. Was Marshall's budget rack preamp at the time.
Gigged with mine through a Valvestate 8080 rack back then and it did a good job.
All transistor but you wouldn't think so to listen to it. Two channels that produced some realy good sounds.
They did have a problem with the power supply failing back in the day.
Shouldn't be very expensive, I've seen them change hands in the UK for £60.
They are a good basic preamp for not a lot of money.
Check out the 9001 valve model from the 9000 series if you see one. A fantastic sounding unit but a bit more money.
