Orange Guitar Butler

Postby ClassicRock88 » 30 Mar 2023, 17:24

If you're looking for a really nice sounding solid state preamp I can definitely recommend the Orange Guitar Butler. I didn't even hear about it when it was released and accidentally discovered it a couple of months ago. I picked one up and played my first gig with it last weekend, running through a Pedal Baby into a 212 with G12H150's. There were a couple of guitar players in the audience and they asked what I was using and said it sounded good.

It has a dedicated clean channel and a dirty channel. The dirty channel isn't super gainy and is more of a woolly distortion, and the clean channel still has a bit of hair on it, which I like. It takes pedals very nicely and has its own effects loop. It's worth checking out if you like analog stuff!
