Going to see Robin, Jack Bruce and Gary Husband tomorrow night at the Shepherds Bush Empire. Can't wait! I've wanted to see him since I was 16, which is a very long time ago!
I'll let you know if he's playing VMs.
Cheers.

Wish I could be there. I've only seen Gary live with Allan Holdsworth. He's an amazing drummer so this trio should kick ass !

Cool! Btw I'm a Gilbert fan too. If you do a search on YouTube for Paul Gilbert Frankfurt 2009, you'll find a clip of him playing robins version of rock me baby. Very cool and of course through a vm!
Enjoy tonight!

What an awesome gig! Robin was stunning, and to be 10ft away from Jack Bruce playing Sunshine of Your Love was just magic.

Now for the bad news. Not a Vintage Modern in sight. Not even a Marshall! He was running two Cornell Plexi's instead :( They (he) sounded great though. Now sure how much better that the VM they would be. Seemed a bit less gain than the VM, which IS a "hot-rodded" plexi so that makes sense.

Cool pics!
I believe the VMs are his American rig while the Cornells are his European.

Cool pics Supenaught. I must have been right near you as I was in front of Robin too!

I agree - great gig. Loved the inclusion of the Cream song "we're going wrong".

Shame he wasn't playing Marshall but I guess slowpokerino is correct in that the VMs are for the states and the Cornells are for Europe. Perhaps Cornell don't offer their artists support in the states just Europe?

It would have been better for me if he'd played 2 Marshall half stacks as for me that's the mental iconic image I have of Robin. He did still sound great though.
