Dude!!

Damn I really wanted to go, did you see yngwie there? He did a show with his new singer on friday. And I didn't even know Paul was there!! I'm so jealous...

Next year I'll be there for sure...

How was it? I guess the area is huge. How many days did you stay? Were all the hotels full?

Yes I sawYngwie. He was playing on the Fender stand and then did a gig on the friday with his band and new vocalist Ripper Owens from Judas Priest. Loved it!
I was there for a couple of days and yes i believe the hotels were all full.
Paul was incredible. He mixed melody, bluesy playing and ripping playing altogether. Just a master. I prefered it to Yngwie. Don't get me wrong I've loved Yngwie since the Rising Force album but at the gig in particular his solos sounded quite samey. Whereas because there was more contrast in Paul's playing it didn't sound samey at all. The man has it all!
I'll give you everything but my guitar and my car.....

He seems to be really enjoying the VM tone, you can see how he plays his stuff and listens and enjoys the response he gets from his rig ...

Too many notes for me, but when he goes to slower bits he shows that he can sound good ... even with an Ibanez :P

My amps/cabs:
Bogner XTC100B, H&KTriampMkII, Steavens Poundcake100MkIII
Heritage 2x12 (G12M/G12H), Bogner 4x12, HK 4x12 (G12M)

My guitars:
Edwards LP (Bare Knuckle Pickups (BKP) Black Dog and VHII), MusicMan Axis (stock), PRS SE Single (BKP RebelYell, SD 59), Fender Baja Tele (stock), Gibson LP Special (BKP-P91/92), Tokai 80s Strat (BKP Apaches), Epiphone LP (BKP MiracleMan / BlackDog), Hamer Sunburst

My FX:
Too many :O)

Paul was incredible.
How did you manage to get tickets to the yngwie show?

Paul is incredible indeed, I hope he's coming to europe to tour his new album.

just lucky I guess. Its the 4th time I've seen Yngwie. I'd see Paul play once before in Mr Big, but his solo demo was jusst awesome!

Ok, I meant did you just have to wait in line there or did you get the tickets beforehand from somewhere a music shop etc.? I've seen some people complaining that they didn't get tickets to the show from the musikmesse anymore...

How was it with Paul's show, did you have to have tickets there too?

Pretty cool. Man, I miss Mr. Big. Think they will ever get back together?
The goal is soul. May the Force be with you.
