Thanks, i love these guys, their music is awesome
Waiting for their new album
I asked some advice to paul about the VM, he told me this
"set everything to 12 oclock apart from the master volume-turn it as loud as you need no more no less,no reverb at all. Then depending on the room i back off alittle treble, maybe add a little mid and bass and either add or subtract prescence depending on how harsh it sounds. So a rough estimate would be treble at 11 0clock,(4)middle at 1 oclock (6) and bass at 1 oclock (6) then with the 2 pre amp knobs set them both to 12 (5)and either add alittle of the treble or the bass one,you will find one of them will make your tone come alive[...] For my main rhythm tone i would have these settings and have the amp on the boost channel but without the mid boost switch engaged.i use a boss eq pedal for solos with the mid boosted and the level at 1 or 2.Also have been trying blackstar pedals for solos"
He's a really nice guy, and a good player
Thans again for the vid macsmith

P.S. Paul performs with a VM at Letterman's http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=V66MikIqgt0

wow, I think I just found a new band to follow. He really has a good grip on that tone. Makes that LP sound so crunchy and fat at the same time.

Great footage of Paul with his 2466s and 425s at Rockpalast and Letterman, excellent quality too!

I love this band to bits, I think they are going to be massive. :D

Paul was one of the first guys to use a Vintage Modern live even before it was officially launched, road testing it if you like. 8)

Rock on guys :!: :!: :!:

I've had their "Rise" CD for quite awhile now. Pretty hard to find in the U.S., or at least it was then. I got it online. Very good CD if you're into that classic rock vibe. It was Paul's endorsement of the VM that got me interested.

That was sweet, the guitarist has got some mojo with his Les Paul and VMs, great tone!

I like the Answer. I always think though that the guitarist sounds like he's playing through a wah in a fixed position. Sort of got a mid-range honk to his tone. Can anyone else hear that?
