The VM, at least for me, is a deceptive amp. Its seemingly very simple you'd think it was just a plug in and play kind of thing. It actually took me quite a while to find my sweet spot. Don't get me wrong, it sounded cool straight away but there's a lot of different tones in there so it was just a matter of time until I found my tone. I love the amp! Its a keeper for sure. I find for me personally that it really 'happens' when the master is wound up high, just like a plexi.

With regards to the guitar - the guitar really came into its own, IMO, when I fitted the WCR Crossroads pickups - very cool! I have another Les-Paul loaded with WCR Peter Green / Gary Moore pick-ups which also sound very cool.
