Stupid question... but worth a try anyway :)

Postby Slashwannabe1 » 09 Mar 2009, 00:59

I finally recieve my VM tomorrow from the long awaited shipping and I haven't had a chance to play a VM in a year and I know this is a Stupid Question, but can the VM get pretty close to this sound of Slash's live sound from 2003... I don't need to know sound settings just want to know if I can get "close" to Slash's juicy tone here with a 100watt VM?

clip:

I got the same pick ups as Slash uses in a Les Paul based Guitar. Don't need exact tone and don't expect exact tone but just want to know if the VM will get me in the neigborhood. This video is from 2003 using his Slash signature heads.

Thanks.

**EDIT** wrong forum to post this... I got the amp today and it rocks! its really fkn loud! and I got the tone I wanted!

It's kind of hard to hear clearly since I only watched the first 30 sec. But it sound pretty VM to me. Just don't forget the EQ controls.
