HAHAHA! None of those guys could hold a candle to Trower and most weren't even a glimmer in their daddy's eye while Trower was as famous as the Rolling Stones in his heyday. In fact, his 1974 release of "Bridge of Sighs" album sky rocketed into the U.S. Top Ten, peaking at number seven. Any of those guys you mention ever do that?! I don't think so...Tee Hee...
(well maybe Prince but he's more a perfomer than a guitar player though he is good on guitar, he's no Trower) IMO
Outright BLASPHEMY,Zappa, Vai, SRV, Prince, Holdsworth amongst several others .... I don't think Mr Trower is quite ready to join those ranks
