It's been freezing down here lately... :Jerkoff ...

Hopefully it will be better come NAMM time... (where's that praying smiley?) :dunno

I used to have an Indian friend that I'd tell to do a rain dance. Then we'd be sure to have 2 months of warm sun... :bgrin Man, I miss that guy!

It's been highs 40s-60s & lows in the 30s around here. That's cold for here. We're supposed to get some rain starting tomorrow night, then broken up throughout the week. We were promised el nino & it hasn't happened yet. There's always Jan-Apr...

Now how sure are we that this is a new amp and not a $5000 24" flat screen TV or a Microwave or something like that?

Well there might be a TV too, but yes there is something new on the amp front.

I'm guessing among other things, an "updated" JMD replacement and a signature Doug Aldrich model

I'll tell you what I'm actually hoping for from Marshall. I'd like to see something like Quilter did with guitar amps. A really great sounding, solid state analog preamp that is designed to mimic the characteristics of a Plexi or MV amp. Hook it up to a great big solid state power section with a ton of headroom that can be dialed down to whisper quiet volume if need be but can also get loud with the best of them. It would be a fantastic practice / rehearsal / backup / even a gig amp - reliable, predictable and great sounding.

Wouldn't that be similar to a SL-5. If it was a Head with a loop it would be worth while, but it would be competing against things like the EVH15W and Peavey 6505 mini amps.
Anyway imho a JMP 15-1w would be the ultimate Marshall tone with more beef than a JCM type amp.
A super bass switch on it would be cool.
