Speaker suggestion for the CSJTM145

Postby d2_racing » 18 Apr 2017, 18:48

Hi everyone, right now I own a custom cab 1x12 that has a Celestion Creamback G12M-65 and I plan to replace it for a Celestion Alnico Blue speaker 8 ohms.

Anyone ever tried that setup ?

Thanks :P

Good idea.
Of course you know the Alnico Blue is what came in the Andertons/Marshall cab for this amp.

If you listen to the Bonamassa clip of him playing it, that's the speaker being used.
Its going to be brighter than your creamback, but so retro.

I've liked the Blue with my JTM1.

Hi everyone, I found a mint condition Marshall T652 near my place, should I replace my G12M-65 with that ?

I sold all my amps except the CSJTM145 and my CSJTMOSH to have more space and a lot more money :P

Thanks for your inputs.

Personally when only pushing 1 watt I don't think its money well spent. Another words you would be hard pressed to truly tell much difference if any at that power.
