I believe they are both Marshall branded JJ tubes. V1 would only be different in that it is selected for low microphony.
Gibson R8 - Gibson Explorer - Gibson R7 Goldtop
Marshall 2466 - Marshall JMD1 - Marshall 1987
No one wants to hear 64 bars full of 32nd-notes except the douche-bag blowing them from the stage.

I definately had 2 different brands.
Completely different internals.

The red one looks like a JJ

Thanks guys...I messed around with some tubes, got confused and was wondering which was which. Red is V1 though apparently, correct? At least from the factory.

I have the same ones as jcm has shown. If you notice Marshall stamped a different code on each. Red Valve1 - 00066 and White Valve2 00055. I have a JJ EL84. I'm guessing those numbers relate to microphonics?

Go to the tube forum here, there is a sticky post that tells you exactaly what the tube is based upon the Marshall code stamped on it.
