What I find is that it is always cheaper to sell the amp you want to mod and buy one that gives you what you want. I made the mistake of spending a lot of money to mod my old DSL only to sell it and buy a VM. I have no problem with guys that want to mod their amps it's just always still seemed to fa...
There are a couple of sites I hang out at but this one is a bit different from the other two I go to. There is a sense of freedom here and more so there does not seem to be a "good old boy" club here you find on so many other forums where if you are not in the club you never really feel apart of the...
The VM is a amp that attracts guys that understand how to get the most out of this amp. Great natrual tone and a huge range of tones. The amp holds up well in small and medium venues and gives you plenty of punch when needed. I agree they get better with age, the 425 cabint makes a excellent match.
With summer coming on fast I thought I would start a picture thread to see what all you guitar slingers out there are driving. Cars, trucks, vans, bikes, whatever you roll in lets see it.

Other than having to manage the extra volume between the two ranges the VM will give such a wide range of tones with loads of high gain that a second channel would not improve on. I use my pedals in low range only and high range with no effects onl...
Using a simulated digital tape echo or delay is going to be very dependent on the amp you are using. If you listen to a demo done on a Fender with that effect I can promise you the effect will sound much different on a VM. This is the fact with almost any pedal but more so with a tape delay. I would...
Not to sound like a jerk or anything but that guy doesn't seem to have a lot going on upstairs. At the risk of being flamed I would argue that the guy easily makes my list of the top 5 overrated guitar players. Someone posted a YouTube here of him doing a guest apperence playing Whole Lotta Love, sl...
You know there are some amps when you change out to a better tube you can really hear an improvment. I don't find this with the VM. I have tried NOS mullards, RFTs, RCA, Telefunkens and such with no real big improvment. I found that a low microphoney short plate tube works just as well. I like the n...
