Re: Tracking rhythm guitars with VM 2466

Nice use of the Crate Powerblock as a back-up I'm guessing.... I just bought one for that exact reason... Ha! That thing belongs to my drummer actually, they're not all that bad but personally I'd never use one let alone record with it. If my shit breaks I beg & borrow amps from friends :pimp Yeah ...

Re: Yes Another KT66 Question...

Just wondering, is it possible to replace the KT-66 tubes in the VM and change them out for EL-34's? I know there would be some biasing involved but I don't know much more then that?

Re: VM-Helter Skelter

I saw he was in the LDR in a couple of other vids of his band. Just like Billy Gibbons said sounding heavy without being heavy... Yeah totally I find myself bringing the gain lower an lower on my as well (although I do us a fulltone full drive 2 to boost a little) but while using the LDR... I would...

Re: How many gig without a backup amp?

If you can find one dude get a Crate Power Block.... small, affordable, and it gets the job done if anything were to happen to your.... I suggest a pedal for dirty tones though...

Re: 425a v. 1982ajh

Yeah I don't think that will be a huge difference but maybe I'm mistaken... Normally it takes about 15 - 25 hours to break in the speaker so just keep shredding on it then you should see the similarities... IMO I don't like speakers that aren't broken in but looks are just as important as sound lol ...

Re: Marshall VM 2466 tones with Vintage 30's

Thanks man appreciate it... Just wondering which one do you like the better the brighter or the one that's a little bit darker? I tend to go towards the brighter one, but I'm stuck between them I find each one useful for a different style lol...
