Re: Best Marshall?

If you have a gibson with good pickups almost all Marshall amps are "the best".(JTM45,1959,JCM800, JCM2000, VM, studio15, jmp1 etc...)

Re: Too good to pass up...

I confirm, it is a keeper.
The head and the cabs are really great, don't break the stack.(where is the second cab?)
I will never sell mine. ;o)

Re: KT66 to EL34

Thanks for these informations Steve, it helps me to correct things but i disagree with one point. I know that inputs are grounded to avoid noise when using the other jacks but you can find output jacks grounded thru a resistor to protect the secondary of the OT when nothing is plugged. What is dange...

Re: KT66 to EL34

Wow it seems that i'm using half of both push pull.
So if i use 1&4 or 2&3 i will get sound on both speaker outputs?
And i can use only one speaker output because the hot-point of the jack is grounded when nothing is plugged and so protect the circuit?(it's not open)
I am right?

KT66 to EL34

Does somebody see any issue to swap KT66 with EL34 in the JTM45/100?
I have an old siemens/mullard duet that i want to try on one side.

Re: Who influenced you to buy your first Marshall?

It's not original but Angus and EVH, but so many great artists have played on Marshall.
Then today each time i watch solodallas's website i remember how great sound Marshall amps.
This guy does a great job.

No PTP version of the YMJ100 planned?

I think it's doable by keeping the regulation and master system on a pcb board.
This version will be with no doubt a "must have" amp, open to all mods. :yea
