I think that you believe in all what says the project leader of the AFD (can't tell his name). :roll

That's why i give my opinion. There will be a small number so i hope to get something like a boutique's amp.
The dream would be to get a 2 channel amp like this one :

AFD100 limited serie

I'm wondering what will come with this limited serie.
I hope they will made a handwired version with a nice coloured rock n'roll (red/purple) tolex and no more toyish graphics.
In this case i could buy one.

Re: Chris George demo's the AFD 100

He looks to be a good and smart guy, well educated and not high-toned at all. Not the same for Marshall's ingineer. (i'm not talking for you steve or chris) So he's a true professionnal, it must be a pleasure to work with. I'm agree that his base is blues-rock and that is has is own play which is ba...

Re: Frequency resonance of speakers?

I have the set and these are the best cabs i've ever had.

Perhaps Steve can answer me in private.

For alnico blue it's 75hz.

Re: AFD100 my personal design

That's why i was saying "it seems".

By the way guys whose were listening to slash in his AFD production have lost hairs since this time, they are not anymore young guys looking for skull and crossbones or snake skin...

I have seen the project :

And it looks like a toy.
The front panel of the Vintage Modern looks serious, not this one.

Re: Favourite plexi setting

The london power scaling changes the polarisation of the power tubes. With a clean sound on your preamp by just lowering the power scale you can get an overdrive. For someone who wants to get the natural sound of your amp it fails. If you change the polarisation of the power tubes you change your am...

AFD100 my personal design

After having a look to the front face project of the amp i've to say that i'm a little bit disapointed. It looks like a toy for children. So here is my personal design of the AFD100, not sure that Santiago take care about this but who knows... _ black brushed metal front panel with purple reflects (...

Re: Of course it will never happend....

Looking to the front plate i would say no. I think that the chassis has the same size than the frontplate. Perhaps it's doable to cut the chassis losing the signature, but i'm not sure due to the position of the transfomers. The best solution would be that Marshall release in the future the 2266 in ...

Of course it will never happend....

Of course it will never happend but i would like to see (and buy) a Vintage Modern 2266 into a small 1987 box without plastic corners.(same purple finition) It could look so great and would be more easy to move... (big box for the VM 2466 and small box for the VM 2266 without plastic corners in this...
