Re: Direct out recording questions

Thanks Sikter I'd appreciate that. I'm not too worried about sound quality just yet (it's only a modelling Line 6 after all) ;) I would like to "jot" down ideas that I can take to band mates and get their reactions. If I can get on with recording, then I'll get the equipment to be able to properly r...

Direct out recording questions

Haven't posted for a while but I have a couple of questions that I just can't find the answer to, thought this would be the best place. I would like to have a go at recording my guitar but don't want to spend £0000's on gear when I don't really know the in's and out's of recording. As time goes on a...

Re: Please forgive me !

Don't be sorry, that amp smokes.

My band mate's got one which he uses through a mode4 cab.

Very responsive to volume controls and sounds great.

He tried to turn me on to them, but I prefer Marshall. :yea

NAD is here

Well today was the day it got delivered, this amp is the tits! I'm not going to write a review yet as I haven't really had enough time to play about with it yet. All I will say for now is I absolutely love every single channel and the gates work a treat. I have just set everything to 12:00, except t...

Believe it or not we met at a Crematorium. (Bring on the jokes)

She is the manager there and I was contracted in to test the gas Emissions from the Cremator Chimney.

Been married for two years now.

It Turns up on Wednesday. :Thumbs Does anyone know if the cab comes with a cover like the head? I really can't wait, even though I know I'm gonna be her bitch until at least next year. :upass F*C...

Re: NGD and NAD

The thing is, I bought the line 6 as a practise amp as it has a load of tracks created by some session musicians built in. It's mainly to help with my practising. It tells you the key it's supposed to be played in which helps a lot as I have trouble trying to recognise what works in a piece of music...

Re: Les Paul Traditional Gold Top

The pickguard hasn't been installed yet. I won't want it installed either as I prefer the no pick guard look, Especially with a top like that. Thanks for the nice comments. I could be picking her up sooner than I expected as the wife has kindly donated some of her old jewlery from a previous marriag...

Re: Les Paul Traditional Gold Top

Well I went to GuitarGuitar today to try out a few LP Classics and Traditionals, I went with an idea of how much I could afford and what type of LP I wanted. I tried 6 different guitars altogether but none of them felt right to me so I didn't get one............... I got this instead :Thumbs Resized...

Les Paul Traditional Gold Top

I'm going to have a look at (and hopefully buy) an LP Trad Goldie on saturday. Unfortunatly I have never played one, let alone pick one up. Is there anything I should look out for quality wise, are gibsons QC department pretty good nowadays? Is there much of a tone difference between a standard and ...

Re: Has anyone custom ordered a Marshall?

I have been thinking of doing the same thing with a couple of cabs that have seen better days. I e-mailed Marshall a few days ago and found out it costs about £80 not including VAT if the cab is stripped and about £170 if it's not. The price included new handles, feet, corners, tolex, grillcloth etc...

Never had a problem, and I mainly use an internet dongle, which aren't the best to start with.

Re: Swap 100watt for 50watt?

Would you still consider a trade if it was purple?
I have been wanting a 100watt for some time but could not justify it to the wife.

Cheap custom made cables in the UK

I found a place that make custom instrument cables that I think you should take a look at. It's website is http://www.custom-lynx.co.uk/ It's very resonably priced and good quality too, I bought 3x 10m custom made cables and they were £21 each. They came with Neutrik silent connectors which is a bit...
