Re: Looking for help from the computer savy here...

I have to agree with most people here before wasting too much money, get a can of compressed air, take the PC outside and blast the shit out of it. It worked wonders on my father in laws computer. I even took the power supply apart, it's only about six screws. if you wanted to go a bit nuts with it ...

I completely agree that they still rock, like i said i'm a big fan so I guess there may be a small amount of jealousy going on.

Iron Maiden at the O2 in London

I'm so exited about going to see maiden on saturday.

Any fellow roadhouse members going, or has anyone seen the recent tour?

It'll be my first time seeing them live and I really can't wait. I don't know what to expect.

Regards

Andy

Re: JVM JS 7 months on!

Hi Mike, I found quite the opposite with the 1960A cab as I really have to crank the treble. Maybe a tube is starting to go. The crunch red is something to behold but my favourite is crunch orange. Did you get the B cab with the head? Unfortunately when I bought the amp as a set they didn't have any...

JVM JS 7 months on!

Well it's been seven months since scoring the JVM JS and the only problem I've had is the footswitch sometimes didn't change to OD1. I've been gigging with it a lot, I'm in two bands one of which is a Pearl Jam tribute and the other is some original songs with tributes to the good old days of Heavy ...

Re: Quick Review of the JVM410HJS

The flashback delay and neo clone sound great through the loop too.

I can't see myself needing another amp anytime soon.

Congrats Surf.

Re: New JVM410JS

You will not regret getting one. I gig with mine all the time and it just gets better and better. I keep meaning to post sound clips but never get round to it. I got the matching cab but think the g75's are a bit dark, would like to try a v30 cab. On a side note, it's Hella loud still haven't manage...

I thought as much, I just didn't want to chance damaging something.

Best to ask silly questions and get proper answers than not ask at all and blow something up.

Thanks Surf

Silent Recording

I can't believe I am about to ask this but seeing as I'm a total noob when it comes to recording I have to ask.

Do I need the cab connected when silent recording even though I never switch it from standby?

Thanks

Re: Direct out recording questions

To be honest sikter I'm still playing about with the vast array of effects in Ableton so couldn't advise about any production or post EQ adjustments. I only got it today so haven't really had a chance to play around with it properly. I can tell you one thing though the emulated line out on the 410HJ...

Re: Direct out recording questions

I took your advice and invested in a mixer, it's a Behringer Q502 USB.

It's actually pretty good and it only cost £50 inc delivery.

All I need to do now is learn how to get accurate sounding drums loops in Ableton, but that's a whole different post.

Thanks for the advice guys

Re: JVM HJS Still Rocking

You are not wrong, got my VM and HJS setup on stage. Always seem to stay on the crunch channel as it's perfect for the songs we play. You should get both surf, I'm sure the valentines bear bought you a few brownie points recently. If in doubt just ask sigi, I'm sure he could talk you round. Andy
