yeah, i did change preamp tubes to electro-harmonics when i first got the amp...that might of helped too

the speakers definately need to break-in, that will help...but also at what level do you have the body and detail? too high (past maybe 2:00) and you'll get a fuzzy sound, esp before speaker break-in

i have a 425a, a cab with v30's and a cab with greenbacks, imo the v30's are much more midrangey and punchy,LOUDER, and sometimes a little harsh....the greenies and 425 are much smoother,warmer,quieter,and sometimes a little too dark...personally i like them mixed together in an 'x' pattern...they c...
