Re: Neural DSP Quad Cortex

I have paid for mine, still waiting on it. Its supposed to be at Sweetwater next week. I am a little concerned about the screen; nothing a thin clear plastic glass protector can’t fix. I have watched the Anderton’s reviews (2) and they are exciting. It appears the have taken the best parts of the ex...

Re: How loud is a Marshall 2555x Silver Jubilee half stack? Lets find out!.

Oh let me chime in; my JCM 800 does the same; so does my JMD. Haven’t had anything that resembles practice for a year due to covid. But being prior Army in a Cannon unit (155SP M109A3) I still have issues w hearing. I own some awesome ear plugs, and I am that ass that gets mad since louder does not ...

Re: Not a fan of EMG pickups

You should give the newer Retro Active line a try. I feel the sameeay about the regular EMG Pickups. The Retro Active line is a new breed of active preamp and passive pickups mixed. Unsure about the science involved but I love the live woody tone

Re: Good Golly - EMG David Gilmore Pickups

Surf you should pick up the EMG Crossroads, did the install a few months ago and the result was the same. The difference would be that these pickups are the best of both active and standard pickup worlds. These are not true active pickups, yet they are as silent. Glad to hear you are still rocking t...

Re: New toy LP 25/50

They all have the toggle, splits the coils. I had a 73 Black Beauty and these guitars were called “fretless wonders”, this guitar has the same neck. I have a Flying V w “Dirty Finger” pups in it and they sound really close to each other.

Re: New pickups in 2013 Traditional

Oh yeah this is a new spin on these pickups. They are analog pups with active preamps in the pups. So quiet yet hit those strings and the amps wake up

New pickups in 2013 Traditional

This is a non weight relieved Traditional and I removed the Classic 57’s and installed EMG Hot 70’s Retro Active. The only way to describe the tone is “woody”.

The effects can be switched on and off w swith 5, and lead boost is switch 6. Now if yo...

56 Strat reissue, about 6 months old

Love this thing, a few shows w her now. Hated the reissue 50’s pups. Loads of bell tone and major hum. Replaced a few things. Ripped out pups, knobs, pickguard, tuners, string trees, and replaced w more modern parts. Yeah I know its a reissue. I love the fact its NOT RELIC’d. The pick does not do it...
