Re: Concerned about thin and fizzy sound

Most of the Marshall Theater tones are processed and EQ's and coming from amp; but with that said I am very happy with all my tones from this amp. I will say I have a head and also a older 1960A cab so its loads of tone...

Re: Concerned about thin and fizzy sound

As far as a thin fizzy sound this has to do more with where you place the amp in the room then with your guitars speaker being broke in. The JMD1 is not a thin amp at all so I would suggest moving it off the stand for starters and find a corner of the room to place the amp and see if that helps. I ...

Re: Go to preamps

Everything I have saved has the preamp volume set between 3-6. I have 5 perfectly tweaked settings for my Les Paul, I am going tweak four more for the Strat soon. I hear ya Surf, I have been so busy with this new band and haven't had time to plug in the LP and I did it finally this weekend (almost ...

Re: GuitarWorld review by Paul Riario

I tell ya not for nothing but I use my JMD at practice and its a killer amp. I have 3 normal setups that range from a very sparkly clean to a ZZ-Top tone to a almost MESA tone and then "D" is the lead with a single long delay. It works great for me with my pre-JCM 800 1960 A cab with greenbacks.

Don't need any pedals in front of the JMD (IMO) except for a wah or talkbox.

Re: Guitar Player magazine gives editors pick to the JMD

I could have told ya (and did) that this is a wonderful amp. Again my only real concern is the way to change modes with the foot pedal; get that worked out like other mfg's and its a 10 out of ten

Oh what a feeling...........

So the other guitar player in the band has a "V" and we started chatting before practice. Well one thing led to another and next thing ya know I have the "V" hanging from my shoulders and this was the first time ever. I have played loads of different styled guitars from the standard Les Paul and Str...

Re: Programming Patches from Takayuki,s Japanese demo site

You know if you would sit down with the amp and the manual it would all come to ya. The blinking light on the tap is the delay repeats and its covered in the book. Personally i would not try to copy exact tones because you will not get them exactly; you might get close but not exactly. Tone while be...

Re: Another question about the guts of the JMD

I do appreciate that but the reason for the question is that I do live in hill billy hell and there isnt a real tech for at least 120 miles from my location. No real stores etc.... I have been working with electronics since the 80's and PC's/Networks and Cabling since 86. I am smarter than the avera...

Another question about the guts of the JMD

OK so a few days ago I asked about tubes and got a few really great replies on the forum; so here is another.

How do you pay for the site? Need donations? -- Tue Aug 31, 2010 12:43 pm -- Hear. Hear, Surf. :clap :clap :clap I'm sick of all these internet "experts" totally slating a new product when they've never seen one in the flesh, touched one, or most importantly TRIED ONE! You have to remember on thing ...
