Re: First Mods completed

Very simple, the switch was pull 4 wires and put in same location on the new switch. The piping took a little wire due to having to line it up. But very fast mods and IMO it looks way better.

First Mods completed

It might just be me but missing the white piping and the lite in the on switch was such a huge turn off. $20.00 later and a 1/2 of time and this is what it looks like..

Steve D step on inside (or others)

Hey Steve is appears you actually work at Marshall; yes? I have loads of stuff saved from the mid-80's like bumper stickers, silver jublie decals and such from my visit there. Would you like scans of them? Of any one else or I can just post them? This is a old Musicians Friend Catalog; oh how I wish...

Re: Stack history lesson

With amps like we have today it does not require a hug cab or even a real amp to get great tone as long as its a decent PA. When I am playing out most the time I am just using a combo unless I know from previous experience its a larger stage then a 2X12 or a 4X12 will come with me. My last outdoor g...

Oh I'm loving the amp; I have 5 others to choose from and since Friday they are collecting dust.

Been a few days and some thoughts about the head

Ok I have played with this head quite a bit now and I am still as impressed as I was when it arrived but I do have a few comments or suggestions for improvements for the unit. 1: It would be nice if Marshall actually used a better interface to program the unit and to move patches around. I know this...

Cleaning old Cabs

I have a really old 4X12; actually its a pre JCM800 1960A or I would assume thats the mdl number of the cab. Its a full sized angle cab and about a decade ago I removed the speakers and put in greenbacks. I dont even remember what speakers were in it although the newer speakers actually helped it al...

Re: Hey Surfnorthwest

I have a Line6 Variax and since it really doesn't have a pickup in it like a normal guitar (built into the saddles instead) and I have tweaked it as much as possible this is the best candidate for the tracking pup. Unsure if you have seen or played one of Line6 Variax but they are OK guitars but I m...

Re: Hey Surfnorthwest

I like it, I have been thinking about this for a few years now. The price went up 200 this year for the unit. I am just not to happy about the mounting of the pickup but it sounds nice. Great tunes also...

Re: Its finally here

I am still new to this amp, over all I am very pleased with it. I did order a red rocker switch and white piping for it so it looks closer to the 2203 than what it does now. Yeah its a stupid thing but I love that rocker and white piping. I am not as familiar to her as you are and maybe the mode swi...
