Re: Disassembly and Retubing

It's a good point what Lizzy is brining up ! note that I biassed my MA100C a couple of times. Like in the Eurotube the MA100 contains 2 pairs of EL34, but I didn't notice any changes in the voltages. I will pay more attention the next time ! Or maybe it's just the way that the amp is design ? Guess ...

Re: different power valves for my MA !!

Hello Washburn In order to adjust your new tubes perfectly, (nominaly wise) you first need to know what is the max static dissipation wattage that the tubes operate. This info is normaly available within the tube specifications sheet. The rest is a question of tastes. As you know hotter bias current...

Re: Pulling tubes..without anesthesia

Hello Lizzy,
Surfnorthwest is right, I own a MA100C and I use the FX loop trick and it work great !
I adjust the MA volume around 7 and the Gain around 5. I control the overall volume with an OD pedal in the FX loop. Go check how it sound I putted a video in the forum

Re: True all valve distortion

ArtyPaul I would like to add from txslowhand comment :truce . Be carefui before changing tubes since not all tubes have the same pin out. :rip i.e you never want to swap EL34 to 6L6GC. This swap could damage your amp. So be careful :rip ! The differences between EL34 (penthod tube) & KT77( Beam Tetr...

Re: True all valve distortion

Welcome to the forum Mats A Glad that you like your new MA50H. I own a MA100C for more then one year now and I still love it ! I also own a Fender tube amp and a very old (1965 YB1) Traynor vintage tube amp and none of them sound like my MA. For me, buying the MA was not a matter of budget. it was a...

Re: Channel Switching Issue

txslowhand Yeah, I also ear that reverb tank noise like you. I didn't have the time to perform the repair on the J-Fet (TR45) or at less inspect the soldering before attenting to replace it. Flow soldering doesn't always give good results and at less, you need to have a good Quality Control to spot ...

Re: Sound Sample of Overdrive pedal in FX LOOP

You're right, but I try to keep my volume as pleasant as can be for my other fellows. Sometime you have to do compromises I’m not alone in that band. Loll. So I keep it as low as I can. The only time when I’m full blasting is during solos. I would like to try that bad monkey of your but if you remem...

Sound Sample of Overdrive pedal in FX LOOP

Ok, for those who wanted a sample of an Overdrive pedal in fx loop used as a master volume. The OD pedal I use is a VOX ICE 9 hook up in the FX loop with the gain at 0 as I said the VOX is only used as a Master volume. In other hand, I have my MA100C Gain at 12 o’clock, Bass at 12, mid 10, tremble a...
