Re: MA100H with boost pedal not boosting OD channel

V30 (30 W) greenback is a good choice for a MA50C
but for a MA100C I dont believe thay will resist
the 100W output !

Re: MA100H with boost pedal not boosting OD channel

Jagermike & Lizzy I totaly agree about the MA sound when played load. It's sound better that's all. I personaly think that, even if the MA is consider a low budget tube amp, it is not made for a non skill player. What I mean is, It need to be ajusted perfectly to give it's best. You will not reach a...

Re: MA100H with boost pedal not boosting OD channel

Nebulozny Thank's for the advices. The sad thing is that I used to own a SD-1 many years ago but I guess the VOX ICE 9 should work pretty good also. And since that I bought it recently, if I decide to change it, I will have to pass through the administration concil lolll (women doesn't only complain...

Re: MA100H with boost pedal not boosting OD channel

Nebulozny loooollll The same kind of stories apply here, it's so funny ! I'm sure those girls use telepathic. Ok so you are boosting the front (input) with another OD pedal to get more gain + the OD channel vol around 8 or 9 to give an extra punch and the SD-1 is use as a master vol... Cool setup. I...

Re: MA100H with boost pedal not boosting OD channel

Hi I personaly dont use the "Clean Boost" method in the effect loop. But I use this set up directly in the input of my MA100C. I tried it in the effect loop and it didn't sound pretty good. Maybe I didn't plug it right but passing thru the effect loop made my amp sound loader but with not the amount...

Re: Channel Switching Issue

maybe component tolerances could cause that but it would have been flagged during final sonic and functional testing. From my personnal experience in Quality Assurance (20 years for a big Aerospace cie) I know that Inspection and FTP are not always done as per Eng. requirements. Since I still have ...

Re: Eminence AX-75 vs Celestion G12T75

Yep guys I agree with you the V30 greenback would probably make a much more dramatic change in the tone but will it sustain the 100 watt of the MA100C. The aim of this post was just to bring some clarifications to some comments or concerns that I read here and there about the Eminence speakers and a...

Emenece AX-75 vs Celestion G12T75

Hello After reading some posts about upgrading the AX-75 Eminence speakers installed in the MA series, I was curious to see if in deed changing the original speakers would do a major change in the tonal response of my MA100C. I must note that, I’m actually pretty happy of my purchase. Except that I ...

Re: clean boost help

Hi jagermike66

By having this arrangement, it's saturate the input with a Hi-gain signal causing distorsion. Using this set up in the overdrive channel combine the overdrive of your amp + the saturate gain of the pedal.
In the case of the MA series amp, it work pretty good !

Re: HI new here

Hello DK2 I have a MA100C and I love it more and more day after day ! I had also had bias ajustment issue and I bough this amp brand new. The Bias was over tolerance past 80mA insted of 76mA. Re-adjusting the bias did improved the sound greatly. I guess this is due to transport and climatic changes....
