Can't seem to find any reviews of it though .....

.... the other problem with the HeadBone (and I think the weber unit) is that you can't have anything in the effects loop of either amp. I have delay and EQ in my loop....

Yes, I was just reading up on that.

The voodoo amp switcher does not handling switching the speaker load.

The HeadBone VT does ....... but has that pesky 11 ms delay......

oooohh......OK...... I thought the switcher (either the tonebone or the voodoo labs) would handle the dummy loading for me (????)

Surf;

I knew you used an amp switcher of some kind, so I was waiting for you to chime in and give advice. Thanks again for your valuable input.

I think I have a solution. I talked to Avatar, and the purpose of the dual inputs on the cabs is so that cabs can be daisy chained. So if you wanted to run 2 cabs, you take a single output from your head, run it into one of the inputs on one cab, then run another speaker cable from the OTHER input o...

Kiss is right, i want to use both cabs with both heads. Kiss, when you say you cannot run a head without a load, do you mean an INPUT load, or an OUTPUT load? As both heads are constantly plugged into both cabinets, in effect don't they both have an OUTPUT load on them? I know you cannot run a head ...

Yes, that's true on some cabinets, but on my avatars, they are both wired the same. I will check by I'm pretty sure there is just 2 inputs to the same speaker wiring. I just checked out Loop Master. I think all I need is an A/B switch. However, I'm concerned by two things: 1. Popping noises when swi...

Correct. After reading up on the head switcher from tonebone, i'm thinking there should be an easier way to do this. I don't like the delay that supposedly is induced when switching heads. The connections are actually not difficult, because my cabinets both have 2 inputs. So I would connect both cab...

OK, I just looked that up. Looks good, except..... it only allows the use of one external cabinet.... I suppose there is some sort of splitter to drive two cabs from the one output..... can anyone who has used this pedal tell me if there is any switching noise or delay when switching? Is it suitable...

Amp Switching?

I'm considering getting another 50w VM head, and I'm trying to figure out (from a position of ZERO experience) what this will work like in a live situation, if I set it up for an amp switch A/B. I currently have a 50w head, and 2 2X12 cabinets (greenbacks). I leave the head at our practice room. I b...

If I recall correctly, in the past Steve D has advised NOT to do this.

Have you tried the 4 cable method? I always wondered what using one of these multiFX and the 4 cable method (which uses the amps preamp) would result in..... I know someone on this board is doing that ..... I would just be worried that some of the balls would be taken out of the preamp doing it this...

Surf; Thanks for what was probably the most 'unbiased' review I've ever read about these things. Usually the person doing the reviewing either thinks the thing is the greatest device ever invented, or a total steaming piece of crap. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle...... like this revie...

Also, I use the Boss FS6, it works perfect with the VM. Even better in that the indicator light on the 'latched' side lets you know when the reverb is on. :)
