Sonar X1, Cubase, Ableton etc, which?

Hi, I have a Line 6 UX2 interface and I'm looking for a software program that I can generate some drums, bass and sometimes keyboard on, and then overdub some guitar playing on top of it. I want it to be fairly straightforward and intuitive to use, but sometimes I'll want to get a bit creative. I've...

Bonamassa namedrops Steve? (Kossoff signature Les Paul)

Just trying to join the dots here, but would this be our very own Steve-san that Mr Bonamassa is referring to? :)

If your chops suck, the VM will bring it out!
Conversely, the VM will reward good technique with the best sound I've ever heard
That's me stuffed, then. :)

Re: 2266C intermittent "burbling" and hum.

Mine started popping today. I haven't played through it for a few weeks. So now I have broken reverb and it's popping LOUDLY (like a dodgy cable or something). I feel a long drive to MK is imminent. Or I may put my trust in a courier... All I can say is that after coming back from Marshall the amp ...

Re: Treble Booster?

Hey guys, was wondering if anyone has tried a treble booster in front of the VM. I'm looking at the BSM-RPA Special, they're supposed to be pretty good. Even emailed Bernd from BSM and he gave me this response. Hoping to get that classic 70's Blackmore,Trower, etc. Let me know.... Thanks No particul...

Re: Power tubes

My 2266C had a power tube take a dump. Amp tech told me he didn't have any KT66's on had so he recommended 6L6's. Is this ok? Thanks. It may be a convenient option for your tech, but don't do it lightly, you'll be changing the character of your beautiful amp's sound, and many would suggest not for ...

Re: Help with a djent tone?

If keeping the VM you should keep an eye out for the coming preamp pedal from DAR.. It does not get more "Djent" than DAR ;) http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/195994_10150106936865194_183870565193_6737526_6076222_n.jpg I'm feeling very out of touch I initially thought the OP had made a...

Re: Possible tube-problem, need help fast !

I would be more inclined to suspect a preamp valve than a power valve - possibly V1 (the one on the end with a shield covering it). So correct me if I'm wrong (cos I don't know what I'm on about) but if you want to use the low dynamic range (clean channel) for your performance and you don't time to...

Re: Why is my new VM 2466 the quietist 100w I've heard

@Slashwanabe1 Ok - for the sake of the forum and anybody else reading this thread I am going to put my hands up and admit to being an 'idiot'. When I 'excitedly' set the new rig up i simply changed the speaker cable from my emery to the Marshall, COMPLETELY forgetting that it it was going through a...

I have asked you privatly to chill and now asking you openly to chill and not attack the mods here, take it up with me. Lets not have this conversation anymore, ...
