i thought the vent was there so you could sniff the tubes ha, but seriuosly my old 900's vent is all bent and melted. 20 years of melting plastic and glass, Marshall black sheep my ass.

hahah i decided to plug mine into the 425a last night, put it in dropped D for a slide lick and boom fucking jingle bells. Tapped on the side, on the gold caps on the handle and everytime it was jingle jingle jingle, new tubes i think.

Damn good, rattles? no, more of a slight buzz. For a 500$ practice amp totally worth it. This amp has got some balls. A little boxy sounding on its own but through a 4X12 it is quite respectable. I really dig it, nice little addition. :screwU

i had a set of PM 6L6 GC's in a fender blues deluxe, that was ten years ago, still got em, still work. They are however sitting in a box cause the groove tubes in the amp sound a bit better, could be the amp tho, ha.

VMGravy what do ya mean by "run out in the top"? Run out just means they cut the sounboard wrong, no effect on sound. When you cut a top (soundboard) you try and cut it perfectly on "quarter" and straight with the grain, if the block of wood is tilted too far forward or back the grain will actually ...
