Thanks Eldin, yes it was attenuated, but OD gain and level was on full on the back panel, the DOD in other words, along with both amp volumes linked and on 10. I just found out that one side of V1 controls the effects loop. I turned on my amp and there was nothing but silence whenever I turned on the effects loop. Yup, that is what I was thinking too. The tone Al had in his clip was pretty close to Gary Moore's tone on his Blues For Greeny record.
